Buffalo Bills pick up defensive end Greg Rousseau's fifth-year option
Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Bills added a ton of value to their roster in the 2024 NFL Draft. Now, they are making sure they keep one of their former draft picks in house.

The Bills announced they picked up the fifth-year option on defensive end Greg Rousseau.

The Bills selected Rousseau with the 30th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Miami. He appeared in all 17 games as a rookie, finishing the year with four sacks, eight tackles for loss, and an interception. In 2022, he put up a career-high eight sacks and had 10 tackles for loss in 13 games. He notched a career-high 12 tackles for loss in 2023 with five sacks.

The Bills added to their defensive line in the draft, selecting DeWayne Carter out of Duke. Ensuring that Rousseau remains in-house for at least the next two years will give Buffalo a potential look into their long-term answers on the defensive line.
